ACE+TAO+CIAO Mailing Lists

Bug reports or questions about ACE+TAO+CIAO should never be sent to individual members of the ACE+TAO+CIAO development team. Instead, they should always be sent to the appropriate ACE+TAO+CIAO mailing lists using the appropriate PROBLEM-REPORT-FORM, as per our standard bug reporting process.

There are several mailing lists for ACE+TAO+CIAO. This document explains what each list is for and how to subscribe/unsubscribe from these lists (you must subscribe to the list to post to the list).


ACE Mailing Lists

  1. ace-announce@list.isis.vanderbilt.edu

    This list is moderated and is reserved exclusively for announcements of new releases of ACE and of new releases of ACE-related documentation and technical papers. The volume of messages on this list is therefore very light (e.g., 1 posting every couple of months). General information about the mailing list is at http://list.isis.vanderbilt.edu/mailman/listinfo/ace-announce. If you ever want to unsubscribe or change your options (eg, switch to or from digest mode, change your password, etc.), visit your subscription page at:

  2. ace-users@list.isis.vanderbilt.edu

    This list is available for discussing usage, enhancements, and porting issues regarding ACE. All questions about ACE should be posted using the $ACE_ROOT/PROBLEM-REPORT-FORM and responses from the DOC group are subject to the constraints of our bug fix process. ACE users who need ``predictable'' responses to their questions should contact companies that provide ACE commercial support. In general, ACE bug reports should be sent to ace-bugs@list.isis.vanderbilt.edu, as described below.

In general, TAO bug reports should be sent to tao-bugs@list.isis.vanderbilt.edu, as described below.
